AROMAS OF YESTERDAYS.

Everything comes to an end and that line is what really justifies the value of our conclusions. In my view, this time every year is the best period to decide what you desire to keep in your heart and what needs to be vanquished. Clearance is the most refreshing habit; leaving the past behind and embracing what the future dwells.  Somehow I always manage to start reviewing my last year’s experiences with the phrase ‘what a year’, and I believe that every year’s achievements deserve that admiration.

It is always so hard to press the reset button and backup only the files you need; especially when some files might not be needed but are attached with who you are. However, if you want to experience new, broader and possibly better situations, erasing some facts from your past becomes a necessity. Also, I believe that in order to focus into what you really seek in your life, it becomes your responsibility to create blank pages and empty spaces in your mind and heart as to fill them with your dreams, wiping out whatever unnecessarily bothers you without a shadow of doubt. But most importantly, that personal purge gives you the chance to evaluate the things that make you happy. Sad situations definitely make you stronger and wiser but good ones give you the courage to keep holding on. In other words, good times are very much like a safety pillow; whenever something bad happens or you’re in distress, every good memory and moment of yours tries to soften your wound and give you the necessary strength to stand on your feet again.

You may have realized that since the last time you had your own personal annual 'report' (if you ever had one), everything around you changed, possibly even you, but isn’t that the way experience works? Adapts you to the world and gives you the tools you need in order to become a master in erasing and replacing. Before starting my own clearance though, I hope that everyone will find a way to recompose their past year's experiences and distinguish the treasures from the rubbish. Always keep in mind that much better days are about to come; all we have to do is learn how to live them.
What a year!
