What it really means to be young, radical and a bit odd? It probably means that you are bringing a new generation of people into the light. You don't need to be accepted by everyone in this world. All you need to do is to choose your place in this world with attitude. Andria Chapsa knows who she is and what she stands for.

A.Hi.

Q.Who are you and what you’re doing?

A.My name is Andria Chapsa, I am 19 years old and I am studying German literature in Thessaloniki. Lately I have been working on translation, attending psychology courses and occupying myself with movie theatre. 

Q.What are your criteria of choosing your cloth pieces?

A.I firmly believe that having some cloth criteria it’s very important for your personal dressing style and the way you want to look like. So, my criteria of choosing my cloth pieces are the five following; Black- oh lovely black. Floral. High- waisted shorts or something like that. Flare jeans- I am a back-to-70’s-kind-of-gal. Oh!- don’t forget to mention my beloved vans, even if my dog has destroyed them all.

Q.What does your style tries to tell to the world?

A.I like dressing up like a girl of 70’s or 80’s. I prefer vintage and second-hand clothes and my style always depends on my mood. Wear whatever you want, choose whatever you like. The most important thing is your style to reflect your personality. And if there is anyone among the mass who look at you in a strange way, then smile. You just managed not to be boring and also not to be one of them.

Q.Does German language affect the way you dress and behave? 

A.Basic principles of German mentality are obedience, discipline and courage. I think that only the last one has affected my style,because I have the courage to wear whatever I want and not to think about if it’s cool or not for the others. On the other hand the faith in what you’re doing and the sincerity in life, are the two factors of the studies of German language which inspire me the most.

Q.Words Vs image. Which one of these is the most powerful tool in our society?

A.There is an expression,which says one image is worth a thousand words. However in my life I am trying to express my feelings and my thoughts through operations. I don’t like sitting there talking and talking, because then there is no meaning. For example am not going to say I love you, but I prefer to show it with a huge hug.

Q.Are people of our era into something brilliant or into our doom?

A.It’s a fact that in a society in which modern technology develops constantly, most of the people are turning into impassive beings and materialists. On the contrary, there is of course that kind of people, who create their lives in a unique way. I really feel very lucky having friends around me with great ideas, alternative life experiences and optimistic dreams for their future.

Q.Would you like to share something with everyone reading this?

A.“All you touch and all you see, is all your life will ever be.”
